Privacy

We handle personal data in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). This page explains what we hold, why, and how to have it corrected or removed.

Information in the listings

Listings describe personal trainers, studios and gyms. They contain only what each trainer or business has published themselves to promote their services, such as on their own website, Instagram or Google business profile: name, business name, the areas and formats they offer, specialisms, stated certifications, price from, website, Instagram and business phone number.

This is information that is generally available to the public, which the PDPA allows us to collect, use and disclose under its publicly available data exception (First Schedule). We don't publish personal email addresses or home addresses, we don't collect anything from behind a login, and we don't copy records from Sport Singapore's SportSync or NREP sites.

Correcting or removing a listing

If you're listed and want something corrected, or want your listing removed, use the "Report a correction or ask for removal" link at the bottom of your profile, or the correction and removal form. We honour removal requests within 48 hours. You can also claim your listing to manage it yourself once claims open.

When you send an enquiry

We collect your name, email address, phone number if you give one, your goal, area and preferred format if you choose them, and your message. We pass your enquiry to the trainer or business you contacted so they can reply to you, and we keep a record of it to deal with problems and spam. We don't sell your details or add you to a mailing list.

To limit spam, we store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address with the enquiry, not the address itself. Please don't send NRIC numbers or detailed medical information through the forms.

When you contact us or list a business

We collect your name, email address and what you tell us, and use them only to deal with your request.

Browsing the site

We use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies. We also count visits to each page and clicks to show a listing's phone number, open its website or Instagram, or send an enquiry, so we can tell a trainer how many people viewed and contacted them. This records the page, the site you came from, your browser type and a random ID that lasts for your visit only. It isn't linked to who you are. Our host keeps basic technical logs for security.

Who looks after your data

Our data protection officer can be reached at privacy@personaltrainers.com.sg. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email us or use the contact form. We'll reply as soon as we can, and within 30 days for access requests.

Our data is stored with our database provider (Supabase) and website host (Vercel), who process it only to run the site.
